In the morning around 8:00 AM, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and begin the scenic drive toward Materuni Village, located on the lush lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Upon arrival at the village, you will be welcomed by local guides who will introduce you to the traditions and lifestyle of the Chagga people, one of Tanzania’s most well-known tribes living around Mount Kilimanjaro.

You will then enjoy a traditional coffee tour where you will learn how local coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted, and prepared using traditional methods. You may also participate in the coffee-making process and enjoy freshly brewed local coffee.

After the cultural and coffee experience, you will continue with a guided hike through beautiful landscapes, small farms, and tropical vegetation toward the stunning Materuni Waterfall.

The waterfall is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and offers a peaceful environment where you can relax, enjoy your packed lunch, and even take a refreshing swim in the cool natural pool beneath the falls.

In the late afternoon, you will begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening.
