Day 1: Arrival – Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, one of our professional guides will warmly welcome you and assist you with your transfer to Greenside Hotel in Arusha.
At Villa Poa, you will have time to relax, refresh, and prepare for your upcoming trekking experience. Our team will ensure you are comfortable and ready for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Arusha – Machame Gate – Machame Camp
Your journey begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha followed by a scenic drive to Machame Gate.
After completing registration and meeting your mountain crew, your trek begins through the lush rainforest zone. The trail winds through towering trees, hanging moss, and dense vegetation. The forest is rich with birdlife and monkeys, and the steady uphill walk allows you to gradually adjust to the altitude.
After 6–7 hours of trekking, you arrive at Machame Camp.

Day 3: Machame Camp – Shira Camp
After breakfast, you leave the rainforest and enter the moorland zone.
The vegetation changes dramatically, with giant heathers and open landscapes. The trail follows a scenic ridge with spectacular views of Kibo Peak and surrounding valleys.
You arrive at Shira Camp on the Shira Plateau.

Day 4: Shira Camp – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp
This is a crucial acclimatization day following the “climb high, sleep low” principle.
You ascend to Lava Tower (4,600 m), then descend to Barranco Camp beneath the Barranco Wall.

- Elevation Gain: ~800 m
- Elevation Loss: ~650 m
- Overnight: Barranco Camp (3,950 m / 12,959 ft)

Day 5: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp
After breakfast, you climb the famous Barranco Wall. Though steep at first, it is a rewarding and enjoyable scramble.
From the top, descend into Karanga Valley and continue to Karanga Camp. This shorter day improves acclimatization.

- Overnight: Karanga Camp (4,100 m / 13,451 ft)

Day 6: Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp
Today you ascend steadily to Barafu Camp, your base for the summit attempt.
Upon arrival:
- Early dinner
- Summit briefing
- Rest before midnight climb
This is an exciting stage as you prepare for the final push.

- Overnight: Barafu Camp (4,600 m / 15,092 ft)

Day 7: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp
Shortly after midnight, your summit attempt begins.
You climb toward Stella Point and continue to Uhuru Peak (5,896 m) — the highest point in Africa on Mount Kilimanjaro.
After celebrating, descend to Mweka Camp.

After breakfast, descend through lush rainforest.

Transfer back to Arusha for rest and celebration.
