After an early breakfast, your professional safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park with packed picnic lunch boxes.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and beautiful savannah landscapes. The park is also home to a wide variety of wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and numerous bird species.

The Tarangire River, which flows through the park, acts as a permanent water source and attracts many animals during the dry season, making wildlife viewing exceptional throughout the year.

You will enjoy a full-day game drive exploring different sections of the park while observing wildlife in their natural habitat. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated picnic site inside the park.

In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and continue your drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Driving Time: Approximately 2 hours from Arusha to Tarangire and 1.5 hours from Tarangire to Karatu

After an early breakfast, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with picnic lunch boxes for a game drive inside the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.

Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. It is one of the best wildlife destinations in Africa due to its high concentration of animals within a relatively small area.

The crater floor is home to an incredible variety of wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, lions, cheetahs, and the endangered black rhinoceros. Bird lovers will also enjoy spotting flamingos and many other bird species around the soda lake.

You will descend into the crater for an exciting game drive while enjoying breathtaking scenery and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated picnic site near the hippo pool.

After the game drive, you will ascend the crater walls and begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.

Driving Time: Approximately 1 hour from Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater and 3 hours from Ngorongoro to Arusha
