Early in the morning around 8:00 AM, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and begin the scenic drive to Marangu Gate, the main entrance to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park.

Upon arrival at Marangu Gate, located at approximately 1,800 meters above sea level, you will complete park registration formalities before meeting your licensed mountain guide and beginning your hike.

The trek follows a well-maintained trail through the lush rainforest zone of Mount Kilimanjaro. Along the way, you may encounter unique plant species, colorful birds, and black-and-white colobus monkeys living within the forest canopy.

The trail gradually ascends toward Mandara Hut, located at approximately 2,743 meters above sea level. During the hike, you will stop for lunch at a scenic midway point while enjoying the peaceful mountain environment.

After reaching Mandara Hut, you will continue with a short optional walk to Maundi Crater, where you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views over Taveta, northern Tanzania, and the surrounding landscapes on a clear day.

Following the visit to Maundi Crater, you will descend back through the rainforest to Marangu Gate before transferring back to Arusha in the late afternoon or evening.
